Lily Pads in RMNP
Lily Pads in RMNP captures the subtle transition of early fall in Rocky Mountain National Park, just as the lush greens begin to yield to golden yellows. This photo was taken near Bear Lake during the fall of 2024 and stands out as one of my first images shot with a wide-angle prime lens. Though I don’t often use lenses like this, dedicating an entire day to the technique revealed an incredible perspective on the landscape.
The wide-angle prime lens allowed me to emphasize the intricate details and textures of the lily pads in the foreground, while gracefully incorporating the changing foliage and placid waters of the lake into the composition. This approach gave the photo a depth and clarity that perfectly convey the quiet beauty of the season's shift.
Metal and Acrylic options are available for purchase upon special request. Please contact cody@markhamadventures.com if you wish to have these options available.
