Canyon Light is an image I captured in November 2022 near Antelope Canyon in Arizona. The photograph showcases a striking contrast between deep, dark red tones and vivid bright oranges created by sunlight streaming vertically into the canyon. This unique interplay of light and shadow highlights the intricate textures of the canyon walls, emphasizing their raw, natural beauty. To date, this image remains one of my favorites—a true Crown Jewel of my Desert Southwest portfolio—because it perfectly encapsulates the dramatic, ethereal quality of the region’s landscape. The adventure to reach this less-traveled spot allowed me to explore and capture a side of the canyon country that is often overlooked.
